The Fargo Parks Sports Center — a 390,000-square-foot facility situated on 123 acres between 52nd Avenue South and 64th Avenue South — was designed as both a destination for recreation and a functional hub for the Fargo Park District team. While the building redefines the region’s opportunities for sports, tournaments, events, and classes, it was equally important to create comfortable, collaborative, and flexible workspaces for staff.
Inside the Park District’s workspace, the design shifts away from traditional private offices to create a modern, ergonomic environment tailored to daily needs. Sliding-glass door cubicles provide a balance of openness and privacy, while lounge areas encourage connection between tasks. Staff enjoy the comfort of Steelcase Leap task chairs and the convenience of personal lockers for organized, accessible storage. In shared spaces, lounge furniture in varied heights and posture – crafted with durable, cleanable materials – ensures both style and function. Together, these upgrades make the Sports Center more than just a community hub, it’s a workspace truly designed for flexibility, collaboration, and long-term growth.

“We are working and doing hard things, but can build relationships along the way. The relationships you built with the client and contractor go a huge way.”
