We are proud to share that Marjorie Nerby, Interior Designer for Connect Interiors, has received her NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) Certification.

The NCIDQ Certification is the industry’s recognized indicator of proficiency in interior design principles and a designer’s commitment to the profession. NCIDQ Certified interior designers must complete a minimum of six years of specialized education and work experience and pass the three-part exam. The exam covers seven areas that capture the core competencies of interior design: building systems, codes, construction standards, contract administration, design application, professional practice and project coordination. The strenuous requirements of the exam give clients and employers added confidence in the caliber of work from a certified interior designer.

The Council for Interior Design Qualification (CIDQ) is the premier certifying organization for interior design professionals. CIDQ develops and administers the NCIDQ Examination. The exam is based on CIDQ’s independent, comprehensive analysis of the profession and the daily practice of interior design in a range of settings. CIDQ continually updates the exam’s contents to ensure they reflect the most current skills required to design secure, functional and innovative interior spaces.

Connect now has four NCIDQ Certified Interior Designers on our team. If you’re interested in learning more about the NCIDQ Exam, why it’s important, and how it can benefit your next project, let us know!
